In these days the 2011 Nobel Prizes for Physics and Chemistry were announced. The award in Physics was "for the discovery of the accelerating expansion of the Universe through observations of distant supernovae". The award in Chemistry was "for the discovery of quasicrystals". After doing a fast track among the sol-gel published papers, I was able to find only two papers directly related to the awards topics, both of them are about quasicrystals.
En estos días fueron anunciados los Premios Nobel 2011 para Física y Química. El premio en Física fue "para el descubrimiento de la expansión acelerada del Universo a partir de observaciones de supernovas distantes". El premio en Química fue "para el descubrimiento de los cuasicristales". Después de realizar una búsqueda rápida entre los artículos publicados en sol-gel, sólo hallé dos trabajos directamente relacionados con los temas de los premios, ambos trabajos son acerca de cuasicristales.
